Shawna Yant / Owner

Hi! Thank you for visiting YHPC’s site. I’ve been a lifelong pet owner, and for the past fifteen years, I’ve been in the telecom and technology sector working for Fortune 500 companies in sales and marketing. Frequently I traveled for work which meant leaving my two dogs Keiko an 85 lb Akita and Gypsy a 90 lb rescue in the care of others. Leaving always caused stress and anxiety because I didn’t know who to trust to care for them on a regular basis. During trips, I would wonder when the person arrived/departed and if my dogs were ok. Given my background, I was aware of technology that could help answer those questions and decided to create Your Home Pet Care. I’m glad you found us, and hope you give us a try!

Certifications: Pet CPR + First Aid

Locations Servicing: Most cities and primary floater.

Angela Gottsponer / Managing Partner

Hello, I’m Ang. I was born and raised in Arkansas, and I am the baby of five. I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During college, I was a student athletic trainer for the women’s department working with the track, basketball and soccer teams. I have a beautiful 65 lb rescue named Rob Roy and he’s a bull terrier mix with gigantic ears! We love to spend our days playing fetch and jogging although he hates the cold and rain. Due to this, he has a large collection of winter sweaters and rain coats! My top three favorites are Arkansas Razorbacks (LOVE), basketball, and young adult fiction novels.

Certifications: Dog walker (CDW) from Dog*tec, Pet CPR + First Aid

Locations Servicing: Most cities and secondary floater.

Kari Neal / Territory Manager – Ft. Worth

Animals have always been a part of my life and are their well-being is the driving factor behind my passion for working with them. I started working with pets such dogs, cats, reptiles, rabbits, and birds, but my interest for exotic animals grew when I received a degree in Biology from TWU and became the Director of Animal care for a wildlife ranch. I cared for a wide variety of animals; such as primates, marsupials, bears, zebras and much more various species. Currently, I spend my free time volunteering at the Dallas Zoo because there is no such thing as too much animal time in my world! My passion lies within my main objectives and goals as a caregiver for animals: giving them a voice, ensuring their safety and well-being, and brightening their day. As a pet owner, you can rest easy when you’re away knowing your animal is under the care of an experienced animal caretaker with the ability to read your pet’s wants and needs, while also addressing medical or behavioral cues. I’m active, energetic, experienced, and love enrichment based play, so I will give your pet the activity it needs. My animals are my babies and I will treat yours with the same love and attention.

Robin Laclede / Pet Care Provider

I have always had a passion for animals and thrive in caregiving environments. I enjoy advocating for animal welfare, keeping them healthy, happy, and safe, and providing peace of mind to pet owners when their pets are under my care. My favorite pet in life was my chinchilla, Dusty, who was at my side for 12 years! She was a free spirit who followed me everywhere and lived her life being a free-roaming chinchilla in my home. In the past, I worked professionally with big cats at a sanctuary where I performed daily keeper duties and conducted daily clicker training sessions with an Asian leopard and a Siberian tigress. I also worked at an exotic wildlife ranch where I was able to provide hands-on husbandry and keeper care with everything from kangaroos and wallabies, to lemurs, camels, hoofstock, farm animals, reptiles, and more! I have provided home pet care for over 13 years and currently devote my free time to volunteering at a local no-kill animal shelter enriching the lives of dogs and cats who are awaiting their forever home. I love catering to each animal’s unique preferences and discovering new sources of joy and excitement for them. Enrichment-based play and positive reinforcement will be regularly implemented in my interactions with your pets as we explore the world around us together!

I look forward to meeting you and your fur (or scaled, or feathered) family soon!

Dani Edford / Pet Care Provider

My name is Dani Haberly and I’m a pet care specialist here at YHPC. I have two energetic, spotted lab mixes that I take with me almost everywhere I go. They lived with me in Austin when I graduated from the University of Texas, romping along the Greenbelt and splashing around in the cool waters of Barton Springs. Caring for them gives me great joy, and I wish to be with them always but I can’t. As devoted pet owners, we all feel this way but life responsibilities keep us out of the house and away from Fido. We go to work and out of town and we can’t always bring them with us. This is where I come in! I will be you for your pet when you cannot. I will provide them with loving attention, a full happy belly and some healthy exercise! I love your pet like you do, and I have been caring for animals my entire life so you can rest assured your fur baby will be in the best of hands.
